Doha - Qatar

In Qatar, there’s always something to do. You can play world-class golf, cycle along hundreds of miles of desert offroad, take road-trips to beaches, hunt for fossils or get lost in the moment of a brilliantly crafted scene of desert dunes at the inland Sea.

Doha (Arabic: الدوحة‎, ad-Dawḥa or ad-Dōḥa, literally in MSA: "the big tree", locally: "rounded bays"[2]) is the capital city of Qatar and is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

The shining jewel of Qatar, Doha is a multicultural city, home to most of the country's population as well as expatriate communities from a range of origins.

Shopping abounds in the city's plentiful malls, while the Corniche impresses visitors with picturesque architecture and dazzling views of the harbor.

Doha boasts myriad cultural facilities, including the futuristic Education City and the National Museum. Having hosted the 2006 Asian Games, the city is home to many sports complexes as well.

Enjoy..

The Orthodox New Year, also known as the Old New Year, according to the Julian calendar is on January 14 in the Gregorian calendar.

The Orthodox New Year is not a federal public holiday but it may be a regional or non-official holiday limited to regional areas or religious groups in countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Russia, and the Ukraine.
